Three mischievous friends, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, dream of joining the French royal elite regiment after a gallant musketeer gives Mickey a plumed hat as a token of hope. Despite their efforts, they are dismissed by the guards captain, Peg-Leg, who sees them as useless.
