In the film, American scientists Dr. Quent Brady and Dan Morgan launch a program to test the survival rates of animals and insects in space. A malfunctioning rocket carrying wasps goes off course, and a computer predicts it will land in Africa. Meanwhile, in Africa, a native is found dead with paralysis caused by a massive amount of venom. Brady and Morgan suspect that the wasps may have been exposed to cosmic radiation, leading to the birth of gigantic monsters. They travel to Africa to investigate and find that a monster is terrorizing people and animals in the Green Hell region.
