A former mobster, Vincent 'Vinnie' Antonelli, is under witness protection and is relocated to the suburbs with his wife Linda. FBI agent Barney Coopersmith is assigned to keep them safe, but their wives leave them. As Barney gets to know Vinnie, he befriends him and learns to appreciate his charismatic and carefree nature.
