A professor at Winfield College is dismayed by the popularity of swing music and takes his rhapsody to New York to be published. However, he becomes enthralled by the music and finds himself creating hits with a young lyricist, leading to a successful partnership until a rival singer tries to break them up and take the spotlight for herself.
