Tommy, a former criminal, is released from prison after seven years and is taken in by his former partner Mick, who has turned his life around and now works as a janitor at a Los Angeles porno shop. Mick has saved $2,500 and plans to start anew in Las Vegas, where he hopes to find a job at a casino. However, their plans are derailed when Tommy brings a prostitute, Amber, to their hotel room, only to fail with her and ultimately kill her in a fit of rage. When Mick returns to the room, he discovers Amber's body, threatening to destroy his dreams of a fresh start.
