Of Human Bondage

A charming romance blossoms between a medical student with a physical disability and a lovely waitress, but their love is put to the ultimate test when she vanishes and returns with a life-changing twist: a pregnancy that upends their lives.

In the late 19th century, a struggling artist turned medical student, Philip Carey, seeks solace in his studies after a failed artistic career and a self-consciousness stemming from his club foot. However, his fixation on a poor and promiscuous tea room waitress, Mildred Rogers, continues to dominate his life. Despite her cruel treatment and the attention he receives from other women, Philip remains hopelessly entangled in his obsession, leaving him to wonder if anything can free him from its grasp.
