Katie O'Hara, a burlesque girl, marries Austrian Baron Von Luber at the start of World War II, but her husband is suspected of having Nazi ties. An American radio reporter, Pat O'Toole, follows O'Hara across Europe, initially seeking a story but eventually falling in love with her. When she discovers her husband's true allegiance, O'Hara fakes her death and escapes with O'Toole. In Paris, she becomes a spy for the Allies, and O'Toole uses a radio broadcast to embarrass Von Luber and the Germans.
