The movie is composed of three short films, each focusing on the character of Shurik, a nerdy student. The first, "Naparnik," tells the story of a fight between Shurik and a bully named Fedya, who refuses to give up his seat to a pregnant woman on a bus. Fedya is punished by community service, where Shurik also works, and seeks revenge.
