Masha, a 19-year-old spokesperson for the nationalistic Russian youth organization Nashi, is initially seduced by the group's high energy and benefits her loyalty. However, she begins to question the movement's motives after encountering critical journalists, including blogger Oleg Kashin, who compares Nashi to Hitler's youth brigade. As she witnesses harassment and provocations against Russian opposition, Masha must decide whether to stand with Nashi or against it after Oleg is brutally beaten and nearly killed.
