Puttin' on the Ritz

A talented individual's meteoric rise to stardom comes at the cost of his emotional connection to the people who once meant the most to him.

Harry Raymond, a crooner, and his best friend James Tierney work in the music industry when they meet Dolores Fenton, a struggling songwriter. Raymond helps Fenton with her music, but gets fired for promoting it too aggressively. The friends and their girlfriends work in vaudeville until Raymond is offered a Broadway gig with Fenton. As his career takes off, Raymond becomes a high-society figure, but his newfound success leads to a life of excess and eventual downfall.
