Captain Tom York is sent to warn General Custer at Little Big Horn, but finds the 7th Cavalry massacred and thousands of Sioux roaming the Black Hills. He must find a telegraph office in Deadwood to warn other regiments, but the townsfolk are oblivious to Custer's fate and the impending threat. After clearing up a misunderstanding, York discovers that a pair of Gatling Guns are hidden nearby, but the owner, Dakota Lil McCoy, refuses to surrender them. York and his allies must navigate the town's conflicting priorities and defend themselves against ruffians to obtain the guns and deliver them to the incoming Cavalry regiments before it's too late.
