A Hindu priest, Pandit Chaturvedi, adopts an abandoned infant and raises him as his own. However, the child's Muslim mother returns, and the priest is faced with a crisis of faith and identity. He must navigate his own beliefs and emotions to make a decision that will have far-reaching consequences.
