A rival rodeo owner, Pomeroy, is seeking to sabotage McClure's contract, and his foreman Gene suspects him of causing a series of accidents. Gene's attempt to catch Pomeroy in the act goes awry when he's falsely accused of murder, and he must evade the law to clear his name. With the help of his friend Frog and his recording machine, Gene concocts a new plan to expose Pomeroy's true identity.
