In ancient Rome, a triumvirate of Mark Antony, Lepidus, and Octavian seek revenge for Julius Caesar's assassination. Mark Antony and Octavian's armies defeat Brutus and Cassius, but Mark Antony becomes enamored with the cunning Queen Cleopatra of Egypt, who manipulates him to form an alliance against Octavian. As tensions rise, Lucilius, one of Mark Antony's commanders, escapes from Egypt and warns Octavian, leading to a war between the two leaders.
