A generations-old feud between the Pritchard and Carson families comes to a head when Jane Pritchard sides with the Carsons. The feud centers around the killing of Wild Bill Carson, the first United States Marshal of Carson Corners, who was allegedly murdered by a Pritchard during a marauding expedition. The story takes a dramatic turn when a film crew arrives in town to make a movie about Wild Bill's life, and a bank robbery scene goes awry.
