Abel, a former addict, is determined to turn his life around and stay sober after being released from prison. He plans to do one final heist, but things take an unexpected turn when he finds Elizabeth, a wealthy and addicted heroin user, unconscious and on the verge of an overdose. Despite initial reservations, Abel decides to help her, and their initial attraction grows into something more. However, his newfound relationship with Elizabeth comes with a price, as he becomes entangled in a complex web of drug trafficking that reaches from the East End slums to the highest levels of government.
