Alan Abernathy, a 15-year-old toy store owner's son, discovers that new action figures, the Commando Elite and the Gorgonites, have gained sentience after being equipped with government military technology. The opposing forces, once mere toys, now engage in real battles, with the Commando Elite determined to eliminate the Gorgonites in a suburban neighborhood. Alan, aided by his crush Christy Fimple and the kind Gorgonites, must protect his home and family from the Commandos.
