Jim Conway, a former boxer and FBI hero, is forced into a dead-end job in the district attorney's office due to political manipulation. There, he encounters Letty Lane, a free-spirited debutante and girlfriend of a mob lawyer, as well as her kind-hearted sister Susan. When Jim's friends are brutally beaten by a slot machine gang, he uses his position to take down the racketeers, putting Letty in grave danger.
