A man is murdered by one of Thorndyke's associates, and Eris is the sole eyewitness. However, Thorndyke's initial attempt to abduct Eris is foiled by Jim Reardon, but they succeed in capturing her the second time around. Now, Jim must locate Eris and rescue her before the trial.
