South of Sanity is a dark comedy that follows Lacy Hilgreen, a recovering addict, and her dysfunctional Alabama family through the flea market circuits of the Deep South. After leaving rehab and running out of money and options, Lacy returns to her rural Alabama home to help with the family business, which uses their booth as a cover for a meth operation. The film tackles topics like sex tapes, STDs, and meth-laced candies, as well as the family's dealings pre, mid, and post-pandemic. Lacy is joined by her brother, sister-in-law, and other eccentric family members on her journey towards recovery, redemption, and hilarious roadblocks.
