A young painter, Françoise Gilot, meets Pablo Picasso in 1943 and becomes his mistress, muse, and mother of his two children. Over the next decade, she navigates his complex relationships with other women, including Dora Maar, Marie-Thérèse, and Olga Koklowa, each scarred by their experiences with Picasso. Despite the challenges, Gilot maintains her independence, painting and keeping her sense of humor. Eventually, she finds the strength to leave Picasso and forge her own path.
