Tabloid stories about Joyce McKinney, a former beauty queen with a reported IQ of 168, are presented. She first gained notoriety in Britain for "The Case of the Manacled Mormon", where she tracked down her missing Mormon lover Kirk Anderson, who was being brainwashed by Mormon elders. She took him to a secluded cottage, chaining him down and having sex with him several times. She was charged with kidnapping and the case was led by the Mormon church. The tabloid reporting also dug into her life, including her funding methods, affecting the case and reporting. Years later, she again hit the tabloids with a story about her dog, Booger, renewing interest in the manacled Mormon case.
