A group of students and their teacher accompany archaeologist Dr. Bill Wyman to an ancient Indian campsite, where they uncover a mysterious stone tablet, leading to the discovery of a mummified corpse. As the mummy awakens from its centuries-long slumber, it begins to wreak havoc, killing a young woman at a nearby ranch. The group, joined by the local sheriff, must track down the creature before it strikes again, armed with gasoline and flares.
