The Auschwitz Report background

The Auschwitz Report

Two Slovak Jewish prisoners, Freddy and Walter, defied their fate by escaping from Auschwitz in 1944, driven by their unyielding determination and courage.

Two young Slovak Jews, Freddy and Walter, were deported to Auschwitz in 1942. After careful planning, they escaped with the help of fellow inmates on April 10, 1944. Despite being emaciated and injured, they made their way through the mountains back to Slovakia, where they met the resistance and Red Cross. They compiled a detailed report on the camp's genocide, but their account was initially met with skepticism due to Nazi propaganda and international ties.
