Two bumbling greeting card salesmen, Stanley and Oliver, visit a woman whose husband has been neglecting her. They agree to help her win his affection by making him jealous, but their plan backfires when the husband finds his wife and Oliver embracing and challenges Oliver to a duel. The duo escapes, gets drunk, and is eventually found by the police, leading them to be returned to the husband's apartment where they awake to find him furious and armed with a pistol.
