A small village near Ferrara hires a restorer to restore a painting of St. Sebastian, created by a mentally disturbed painter who was known for painting near-death people. The restorer, Stefano, discovers a dark secret about the painter and the villagers, which leads to a series of mysterious events and a sense of unease.
