The Mikado

In the Japanese town of Titipu, Nanki-Poo, the Mikado's son, flees his arranged marriage to pursue his true love, Yum-Yum, a lovely and captivating woman, and finds work as a musician under a new persona.

Nanki-Poo, the son of the Mikado, flees an unhappy marriage and assumes a new identity as a musician in the town of Titipu, where he's smitten with Yum-Yum. However, his plans are thwarted by Yum-Yum's guardian, Ko-Ko, who intends to marry her himself. Complications arise when the Mikado and Katisha, Nanki-Poo's former bride, arrive in Titipu, disrupting the peaceful town.
