A group of freighters, led by Candel, are hired to transport a locomotive by wagon to Omaha. However, their mission is threatened when a rival freighter, Ross, tries to sabotage the operation to save his own business. When Ross's plans fail, he and his men steal all the guns, leaving Candel and his crew vulnerable to an impending Indian attack.
