The Open Door

A young man with special needs, Sam, moves in with his sister Madison, an artist, after their mother's passing. Madison, who has her own special needs, struggles to care for Sam. Their lives change when they meet Roy, a stubborn senior citizen who rents them a farm house. Despite initial difficulties, Sam and Roy form a bond, and Sam's passion for shoes inspires a shoe drive for the needy. However, the event goes awry, and Sam is brutally attacked. In the aftermath, the trio becomes a family, teaching each other and their town to embrace and accept individuals with special needs.
