In post-WWII London, a cunning black-market racketeer named Sugiani is building a vast fortune, but his success is short-lived. American journalist Linda Medbury uncovers his operation and sets out to expose him, enlisting the help of her fiancé, a former British Commando captain named 'Jumbo' Hyde. Sugiani attempts to silence Linda with bribery and threats, but she refuses to back down, and she and Hyde hatch a plan to take down his empire with the help of a group of fighters from a local gym.
