During World War II, the Red Army's elite soldiers, known as "Zvezda", were sent to fight a guerrilla war against German forces within the Soviet Union.
In the summer of 1944, the German army readies a massive tank division, "Viking," for a massive assault on occupied Soviet territory. Meanwhile, the Red Army dispatches a team of seven elite snipers, "Zvezda," on a reconnaissance mission behind enemy lines.
