Joe Franek, a baggage handler from Boston, feels trapped in his mundane life and dreams of becoming a pilot. When he's tasked with transferring a bag, he steals from it, unaware it belongs to Mohammad Atta and is destined for American Airlines Flight 11 on 9/11. The bag misses the flight, and Franek becomes obsessed with finding it after Flight 11 crashes into the World Trade Center. His actions lead him to risk his job and security, but ultimately, he becomes an unlikely hero and finds the legacy he sought.
