Set in 1950, the story follows Archin, a university student expelled from Chulalongkorn University, who is sent to southern Thailand for a supposed job. However, upon arrival, he finds no employment and is forced to take up manual labor at a mining company. Despite being mocked by his coworkers, Archin proves himself to be a hard worker and eventually becomes a trusted member of the team, earning a role as a surveyor.
