A once thriving mining town of over 1600 people in Centralia, Pennsylvania was ravaged by a coal fire that started in 1962. The fire continued to rage unchecked, causing widespread destruction and eventually forcing the government to relocate residents and raze the town. Today, 11 people remain, including John Lokitis, the youngest remaining Centralian, who is fighting to keep his hometown alive.
