A village blacksmith, Donald, takes pride in his work, creating a new iron ring for an oxcart-wheel and impressing with his expertise. However, he soon learns the hard way that even small mistakes can have significant consequences when working with iron. Meanwhile, Donald tries to please a demanding client, Jenny, who is difficult to satisfy with her shoe models, leading to a series of frustrating attempts to fit the shoes on her horse.
