A team from a US-based chemical company arrives in the Philippines to inspect their local branch, led by a Filipina employee, Dina Bonnevie. The Chief of Police, Eddie Garcia, is tasked with protecting the visitors, but his motives are personal - Dina is his girlfriend, who had left the Philippines to pursue a better life in the US, much to his dismay. However, their reunion is threatened when the group is ambushed by a terrorist gang led by Vernon Wells.
