Von Richthofen and Brown background

Von Richthofen and Brown

The legendary exploits of the Red Baron in World War I were characterized by intense aerial battles with enemy pilots and fierce rivalries among his own comrades.

Manfred von Richthofen, a skilled pilot, joins a German air force squadron and quickly becomes an ace. He clashes with fellow pilot Hermann Goering and squadron commander Oswald Boelcke, who is killed in a mid-air collision. After taking command, von Richthofen paints his aircraft bright colors, believing gentlemen shouldn't hide from their enemies. He's wounded in a battle, and later killed by Canadian pilot Roy Brown, who leads a counter-attack with new fighter planes from Anthony Fokker.
