The urban legend of "White Boy Rick" is reexamined in this film, revealing the true story of 17-year-old Richard Wershe Jr., who allegedly ran a large-scale drug operation in 1980s Detroit. Despite being sentenced to life without parole for a non-violent juvenile drug offense, Wershe remains imprisoned 30 years later.
