Dave's day takes a turn for the worse when his best friend forces him on a date with a girl he's not interested in, and a vampire moves into town, choosing Dave as his pet werewolf. However, the vampire's spell is interrupted by Dave's bad poetry, allowing him to keep his free will and control over his transformations. As Dave navigates his new powers and a constant camera presence, he must also defeat the vampire and save his date, all while breaking the fourth wall and interacting with the audience.
