Captain Lau Si Chung, a skilled kung fu practitioner, is humbled by a surprising defeat at the hands of a mysterious old man. He travels to the old man's temple to learn from him, quickly becoming proficient in the ancient art. The old man then reveals that his master was murdered by the notorious bandit, "The Red Dart," and that the thief also stole a valuable book on nerve-lock reversals.
