Bianca Aguilar, a young actress from Buenos Aires, is torn between her responsibilities caring for her schizophrenic father and her desire to join the stage play "Insomnes" after being tempted by Krasso, assistant to the renowned dramatist Alma Böhm. As she becomes more deeply involved with the production, Bianca and her castmates, including her longtime friend Cecilia, begin a sleep deprivation process to tap into their characters and find inspiration. However, this experiment soon derails into a series of hallucinations and delusions, revealing dark secrets about the psychiatric hospital where they are rehearsing and the true nature of the play they are performing.
