Biography

Here is the biography of 40 Glocc:

Born as Tory Gasaway in Galveston, Texas, 40 Glocc didn't know his mother until the age of 8. He was raised by his grandparents in Beaumont, along with 14 other children, with his father never being around much. During those eight years, 40 Glocc only knew his mother and a younger sister he had never met by the pictures his grandparents showed him.

At the age of 8, his mother came to get him and moved him to the MacArthur Park area of Downtown Los Angeles. 40 Glocc was so glad to see his mother and sister, and he thought his life was going to get better now that his family was reunited. However, after a time, the family relocated to Colton City, San Bernardino, to an area known as "The Zoo" and the problems at home began.

40 Glocc and his mother didn't get along, and he didn't feel that she cared about what happened to him. He started spending all his time with his new friends, who were all members of the Colton City Crips. As he got deeper into that lifestyle, the worse things became at home. At the age of 13, 40 Glocc left home for good, choosing to sleep in the cars of friends or outside of grocery stores with the bums.

He learned to survive through the gang bangers and drug dealers he knew, and he even became adept at dealing with being shot several times, including one incident that left him in a wheelchair for many months. He was also arrested and spent six months in jail after being charged with a home invasion he didn't commit.

Despite all the challenges he faced, 40 Glocc had a dream and a talent for rapping. He started telling vivid stories of his life on the streets, and his narratives resonated with people who had been through similar experiences. By 1997, he had formed a group called The Zoo Crew and released an underground hit album, "Migrate, Adapt or Die".

40 Glocc's talent didn't go unnoticed, and he soon became an integral part of the West Coast rap scene, recording with his peers and releasing his first solo album, "The Jackal", which featured a who's who list of West Coast talent. Although his first solo deal didn't work out, he continued to record and eventually signed a new deal with Empire Music Werks, which was distributed by BMG.

However, after sinking a lot of his advance into promoting the album himself, 40 Glocc decided to go his own way. He is currently pursuing a solo career, recording with Dr. Dre and writing stories that people can relate to. He hopes to make an album that touches people's souls and to give hope to those who are coming up through similar experiences.

In addition to his music career, 40 Glocc is also pursuing acting, having recently wrapped a supporting role in a feature film called "Playboys" and appearing in a new AFI short film called "The Second Half". With what he has already accomplished, 40 Glocc's dreams include making his label, Zoo Life, something he can grow old with and creating music that will be remembered for years to come.
