A renowned filmmaker and artist, born in 1956 in the picturesque city of Salzburg. Between 1975 and 1980, they honed their skills at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, specializing in the restoration of art. Simultaneously, they began experimenting with Super-8 films, a creative outlet that would continue to inspire them for years to come.
In the late 1970s, they turned their attention to music, producing experimental sounds on a variety of instruments. This period, spanning from 1979 to 1984, saw the creation of around 8-9 distinct musical pieces. During this time, they also delved into the world of performance art, drawing inspiration from the Fluxus movement.
Between 1981 and 1982, they collaborated with Arleen Schloss, a renowned artist based in New York. This partnership allowed them to further refine their craft, exploring new mediums and pushing the boundaries of their art. In 1984, they began a long-standing collaboration with Ursula Pürrer, a partnership that would yield numerous innovative and groundbreaking projects.
The mid-1980s saw the emergence of their music-performances, with the formation of the group ^ÓUngünstige Vorzeichen^Ô. This ensemble would go on to produce a distinctive blend of music, performance, and visual art. In the following years, they continued to experiment with new forms, incorporating elements of cybercomics and splatter-cinema into their work.
In 1992, they launched their most ambitious project to date, the multimediacybercomicsplatter-cinema ^ÓDandy Dust^Ô. This groundbreaking work showcased their unique blend of artistic styles, blending the boundaries between film, music, and performance art.
Throughout their career, they have been driven by a desire to challenge conventions and push the limits of their art. Their work continues to inspire and intrigue audiences around the world. In 1998, they officially changed their name to Angel Hans, a reflection of their journey towards self-discovery and acceptance. Today, they reside in London, where they continue to create innovative and thought-provoking art.
