Aaron W. Bennett is a multifaceted individual, originally hailing from Washington State, where he cultivated a passion for comedy and writing.
Before relocating to Los Angeles, Bennett owned a comedy club, which served as a platform for him to hone his skills as a screenwriter, actor, and comedian. His experience in the comedy world eventually led him to dabble in various on-set departments, ultimately deciding to leverage his construction knowledge and mechanical/electrical expertise in the Grip and Electric department.
This newfound experience enabled him to invest and build a 3-ton combo G&E truck, which he operates alongside a talented group of friends and filmmakers through his company, Valhalla Grip LLC. This venture not only keeps him engaged but also funds his writing endeavors.
Throughout his career, Bennett has achieved numerous writing contest placements, including Cinequest, Screencraft, TMFF, The Titan Awards, and the Los Angeles Screenplay Competition, for his screenwriting and TV pilots. In his first three-and-a-half years in Los Angeles, he co-authored twelve projects.
In 2020, he won the prestigious Best Screenplay award for his script "Good Counsel" at TMFF, which concluded its festival run in 2021.
Bennett's writing career began in the late '90s as a writer and actor on a local public access TV show, where he developed his sketch writing and comedic timing. As a talented mimic and impressionist, he honed his skills through improvisational comedy with his troupe, Manic Thunder Improv, and solo stand-up comedy.
He also fulfilled his childhood dream by spending two years as a rock-jock comedy morning co-host on his favorite Rock Radio Station, 94.5 KATS, in Yakima, WA. During this time, he voiced and wrote/improvised several characters, truly living his dream.
When not writing, Bennett can be found on set with his friends, making movies and embracing his new life. Despite the challenges and grueling hours, he finds joy in the process and is passionate about his career.
In his most recent endeavors, Bennett has transitioned into production, where he continues to face new challenges and remain driven to succeed. He is proud to be in a career that allows him to express himself in the third person, speaking about himself with humility and gratitude.
