Her impressive run in the world of beauty pageants continued as she finished as the runner-up in the Miss Andhra Pradesh contest, a feat that showcased her dedication and perseverance.
As Aashritha transitioned from the world of modelling to acting, she made her debut in the low-budget village-centric film Isakki (2013),where she played the role of a teacher, earning praise from critics for her portrayal of a strong and independent woman who stood up to her father. The film's critic from The Times of India noted that "Aashrita makes a decent debut as a strong and independent woman who stands up to her father," a testament to her acting prowess.
In 2015, Aashritha took on the lead female role in Vijay Sethupathi's production Orange Mittai (2015),opposite Ramesh Thilak, where she played the character of Kavya, a town girl. Although the film received positive reviews, it unfortunately did not perform well at the box office.
Undeterred by this setback, Aashritha continued to pursue her passion for acting, securing the titular role in Nagaraj's Azhahendra Sollukku Amudha after a successful audition. This new chapter in her acting career marked a significant milestone, as she embarked on a new journey, showcasing her versatility and range as an actress.
