Adam Douglas Boyer was born in the picturesque town of Eagle River, Alaska, a place that would later serve as the inspiration for his creative endeavors. His early fascination with filmmaking began in middle school, where he honed his skills by working on video announcements and even landed a role in the state's official moose safety video, a unique and memorable experience that would lay the groundwork for his future career.
Following his high school education, Boyer attended the esteemed Art Institute of Seattle, where he refined his craft and gained a solid foundation in the technical aspects of filmmaking. Upon graduating, he began his professional journey, working in various departments and learning the ins and outs of the industry. His skills and dedication eventually led him to Los Angeles, where he continued to grow as a filmmaker and writer.
Boyer's writing career has been marked by several notable achievements, including multiple scripts recommended by the prestigious Black List. His kidnapping thriller/dark comedy, STAR F*CKER, is currently in development, a testament to his ability to craft compelling and engaging stories. Additionally, he wrote and acted in the upcoming comedy CUSTOMER COMES FIRST, which was directed by his frequent collaborator, Matthew Rush.
In 2022, Boyer returned to his hometown of Eagle River to direct his debut feature, UPHILL, a milestone in his career that marked a significant step forward as a filmmaker.
