Adam O'Brien is a multi-award-winning film and television Director/Producer with over 20 years of experience in both live action and animation. He has established himself as a capable and seasoned veteran with a strong understanding of visual effects, motion capture, and 3D.
With a constant attention to rhythm and aesthetics, Adam approaches his craft as a story-teller first and foremost, aiming to engage the viewer and take them on an enjoyable journey through the use of original and unique narratives - regardless of the style or genre.
His critically acclaimed short films have screened at over 85 international film festivals, including Fantasia, Film Quest, Shriekfest, and RI International Film Festival.
In 2015, Adam directed 26 episodes of a ground-breaking animated TV series, Jerry and the Raiders, broadcasted on SRC and TVO. The series has been sold worldwide, including China, Germany, and the UK, and was the first animated TV series in Canada to use a pipeline of Unity and Motion Capture.
More recently, his short film, A Little Off the Top, has reached over 3.4 million views and is still growing. His most successful film, Banshee, has been picked up by MPX for a worldwide release by mid-2019. In a recent review, Adam's work has been compared to that of James Wan at his best.
Throughout his career, Adam has worked on a variety of projects, including commercials, music videos, films, and TV shows.
