Notably, Adam directed the first two seasons of the lavish 6-part 1920s drama series, Hotel Portofino, for PBS and ITV. The series boasts an impressive cast, including Natascha McElhone, Anna Chancellor, Mark Umbers, and Adam James.

The series received widespread critical acclaim, with The Times praising it as a "high-profile, classy affair" and The Telegraph calling it a "sumptuous new period piece." The Mail on Sunday described it as a "heady mix" of romance, politics, and crime.

Prior to moving into feature films, Adam directed a diverse range of television series, encompassing drama, comedy, and documentary. His work includes BAFTA-winning series The Revolution Will Be Televised for the BBC, two series of the hit crime series The Investigator for Netflix and ITV, and Derren Brown's flagship show Trick or Treat for C4.

His short film ROAR, starring Russell Tovey and Jodie Whittaker, was part of the official selection at many of the world's highest-profile festivals and won major jury awards at both Aspen and Rhode Island.

In addition to his work in television and film, Adam directs commercials for prominent brands such as Sony, Cadbury's, Freeview, Rosetta Stone, Coca-Cola, Stoptober, Visit Britain, and M&S. He is currently developing further feature films and scripted series to direct.
