Aideen is a multifaceted individual with a profound passion for the world of acting and playwriting. As a PhD candidate in the esteemed Department of Drama & Theatre Studies at Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick, she is continually honing her skills and expanding her knowledge in the field.
Prior to her academic pursuits, Aideen received her training at the prestigious DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama, and went on to earn a Master's degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University College Cork. This extensive education has provided her with a solid foundation in the art of performance.
As a member of BrokenCrow, a multidisciplinary ensemble, Aideen collaborates with other creatives to produce innovative and groundbreaking new work. Her inaugural play, Levin & Levin, premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2017, captivating audiences with its poignant and thought-provoking storyline. The play tells the compelling tale of Ida and Bubbie Levin, two escapees from the Russian pogroms who find success as Weimar's most renowned male impersonators.
In addition to her work with BrokenCrow, Aideen was also a co-creator and performer of the wildly popular play Love All, which debuted in 2012. Her impressive body of work has garnered widespread acclaim and recognition within the industry.
Aideen has also had the opportunity to participate in The Next Stage, the artist development strand of the annual Dublin Theatre Festival, in 2016, further solidifying her position as a rising star in the world of theatre. Furthermore, she holds a certificate in Holocaust Education from Trinity College Dublin, demonstrating her commitment to exploring complex and sensitive topics through her work.
