Biography

Aisling Chin-Yee is a dynamic and multifaceted Canadian film director, writer, and producer who boasts a remarkable cultural heritage, being a proud descendant of a unique blend of Jamaican-Chinese and Irish ancestry. Born on April 29, 1982, Chin-Yee's illustrious career in the film industry began to take shape with the completion of her degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Film Studies from the esteemed Concordia University in 2004.

Chin-Yee's professional journey commenced with her graduation, which served as a catalyst for her entry into the film industry. Specifically, she embarked on her career as an associate producer at the renowned National Film Board of Canada in the year 2006, where she likely honed her skills and gained valuable experience in the production of films.

As her expertise and reputation grew, Chin-Yee made the pivotal decision to join Prospector Films in 2010, taking on the role of producer. This new chapter in her career enabled her to further develop her skills, work with diverse teams, and tackle a wide range of projects.
